MGISS Accepted as G-Cloud Supplier - 04/07/2018

MGISS has been accepted as an official supplier of cloud-based services via the UK Government’s G-Cloud 10 framework.

G-Cloud was launched in 2012 as an initiative targeted at making procurement in the public-sector simpler for technology providers that use cloud-based services. It consists of a series of framework agreements with suppliers, from which public sector organisations can buy services without needing to run a full tender or competition procurement process.

MGISS independently advise on the smarter use of data, technology and digital transformation. This allows organisations in the Infrastructure, Environment and Energy sectors manage their assets more efficiently. Clients benefit from guidance on their use of improved data quality, making it fit for purpose in the age of digital transformation and creating more intelligence on assets in the field.

MGISS now has the authority to offer a range of different service types including WMS, cloud hosting, GIS consultancy, high accuracy location-based services and mobile and cloud-based software as an official supplier within the G-Cloud framework.

Mike Darracott, Managing Director of MGISS, said “The G-Cloud system in an efficient, authorised and cost-effective way of bringing local and central government services and outside suppliers together to achieve more. Digital Transformation is becoming integrated into all aspects of services, both commercial and public sector and it is crucial that we embrace these changes so that we can generate data of a high quality which is fit for purpose in the world we live and work in.”
