A Geographer in a CAD World

It’s been three and a half years since I joined Cadline as a GIS Application Engineer, and my new job title was probably the first sign that I was now a “Geographer in a CAD World”. I have worked in GIS for nearly 20 years, and in all the roles that I have undertaken, at heart, I have always considered myself to be a GIS Consultant. Qatar Rail Applies Maptek Eureka Software to Geological Investigations

Eureka modelling software from 3D visualisation technology developer Maptek is being applied to the construction of a multi-billion transport infrastructure project in Qatar. The infrastructure project, managed by Qatar Rail, will create a rapid transit network consisting of light rail, the metro system and high-speed trains between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Leica Reveals Cyclone and CloudWorx Updates at SPAR 3D 2017

At SPAR 3D, Leica Geosystems announced a number of updates to its high-definition surveying software portfolio. The updates below are slated for release on 1st May 2017. Bluesky Aerial Photomap Definitive Information Resource for Irish Council

Waterford City and County Council is one of the first organisations to benefit from the most up to date Bluesky aerial photography of Ireland.
